Tens of thousands of protesters holding candles march toward the presidential Blue House during an anti-government rally in central Seoul aimed at forcing South Korean president Park Geun-hye to resign over a corruption scandal. The demonstrations are among the largest seen in South Korea since the pro-democracy protests of the 1980s and have provided a stark challenge to Park’s authority, though the president has defied calls to step down.
