study in the Journal of
Clinical Hypertension
reports.People taking
the recommended daily
amount of 4,700mg
decrease their systolic
blood pressure(the top
number)by up to six points
and their diastolic by up 
to four points-which 
researchers say could lower 
heart-decease risk by 15
percent.Potassium increases 
blood levels of nitric 
oxide,which dilates arteries 
and prevents them from 
becoming clogged.
