BreakThruKey-Whatever Overwhelms You, Draws You

by ~Romeo Mannel~

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

Even though the Israelites had many times turned their backs on God. God always had to either pull them through difficult situations or show them that He is their God, by causing them to face tough times, to remind them of His sovereignty. In the same instance also, for them to realize how much He loves them. God also, time and time again reminded them, by telling them. It's like they have always forgotten, because they were always found to be in a disobedience.

Them being a travelling nation, like nomads, they most of the time had to face fierce enemies. At some instances they would win the strongest of opposition, but at other times they would loose and be taken as slaves to those smaller nations.
These have been the cause of them either being obedient to God or disregarding Gods will. It has been at these times of them being  captured and being slaves to those nations that they would adapt those cultures and believes, and thereby start to worship other gods and idols.

God's love is everlasting, and His loves for us is everlasting. Let our love for God be pure and from the heart.

Yet, God has been faithful to them. Remaining steadfast as their God. They didn't have to make idols to worship God. They didn't have to love God to be loved by God. God loved them irrespective. They didn't have to bow to any image to show reverence to God. Abraham left behind his idolatrous lifestyle, and started following the instruction of God, eventually becoming the father of many nations.

God loves us irrespective, and as a people He drew us with His lovingkindness.

Hosea 11 vs 4;
I drew them with gentle cords,
With bonds of love,
And I was to them top them like those who take
the yoke from their neck.
I stooped and fed them.
