Just be Still

Psalm 46:10[NKJV]
Be still and know that I Am God:
I will be exalted among the nations.
I will be exalted in the earth!

David begins this psalm with an encouragement, writing that God is our refuge and our strength, a very helping hand in trouble(vs 1). He message to us is that when we are overwhelmed with problems and difficulties, we can trust God to come through for us. As we offer praise to God and worship Him, He releases the life-restoring streams to heal lives(vs 4). Bathed in His presence we are lifted up from our problems.

No matter what we may hear or see, all we need to do is be still. When we believe what is written in the Word of God, and have faith that whatever He has promised, He will bring it to pass. we can rest assure and be still. Even if the waters rise and the storms are raging. The fulfilling of God's promise lies in  us,"being still and know that He is God.
