Fleshly Passions and Desires
Brought to Death
by  ~Romeo Mannel~

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
I Corinthians 3 [NKJV]
God do not live in a temple made by human hands. He lives in a temple He made Himself. He created us in His "own" image. God made us in His image for that reason, to have a dwelling place.

Where the flesh abounds
Romans 8 vs 9; But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. The works (deeds) of the flesh is evident. Galatians 5 vs 19. Now I don't want to take the cause of naming an shaming on this matter. God's plan is that the flesh be crucified with Christ Jesus, because then the deeds of the flesh are also crucified. That's the reason why Jesus was crucified, on our behalf. to bring to death the works of the flesh. To name the works of the flesh is definitely a shaming incident, and people don't want to associate themselves with that shame. That's why most of the works of the flesh is done in private. As of now, people is becoming more and more confident in their the acts of the flesh, with the argument, "we only human," and it's our right of choice, to live the way we decide and not be encumbered with what's alienating us from ourselves. Meaning, my fleshly acts is as human as I can be. Yet to continue in this stance is of no benefit, for the flesh as human as it can be, will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Where the Spirit abounds
BreakThruKeyAs I said, it is God's plan for the flesh to be crucified and die in order for the Spirit and the fruit (deeds) of the Spirit to become alive in us. Galatians 5 vs 24; And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with it's passions and desires. Romans 6 vs 6,7 ; Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin may be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. For He who has died has freed us from sin. 1 Corinthians 6 vs 19
Your body is the temple of Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own. vs 20) For you were bought at a price, therefore Glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God's. Ephesians 2 vs 20,21 ; ...,Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in Whom the whole building being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, vs 22) In whom also being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
