Fear:
phobos (fob-oss): In classical Greek the word signi-
fies flight.Later it came to denote that which causes
flight; hence "fear," "terror," and "dread." In the New
Testament phobos denotes both the fear, meaning
"terror," and fear, meaning "reverence towards God."
We got our modern word phobia from the Greek word
phobos.
Fear is the opposite force of faith.Faith Comes from
meditating on the promises of GodFear entered the
human race after the Fall of man in the Garden of
Eden.Fear entered the human mind the time sin
entered Adam and Eve. Before the fall there were no
such thing as fear. God wants His people to be free
from fear; but, for that to happen, there must be a
renewing of the mind.
When the love of God has been perfected in your
personality, you will not live in fear. God's love
poured out completely in our hearts and minds drives
fear out of lives. When we realise how much God
really loves us and wants the best for us, then we
can totally trust Him and fear will leave our lives.
Job 28 vs 27,28;

indeed, He searched it out. And to man He said,
Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to
depart from evil is understanding.

good understanding have all those who do His
commandments. His praise endures forever.

knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

before honour in humility.
