Boasting is associated here with good - works.When one reads the understanding of the full context of this text,we'll notice that it's got to do with one's eternal destiny. It states, "you have been saved."It also points out that it's by grace,now all of us are aware what God's Grace,or should I say some of us,is.
Allow me to remind you,please?
It's a gift from God,even if it's not your birthday, or Christmas,or Mothers day,or even Fathers day.It is God's unmerited,undeserved favour towards us.
We see that faith comes in,to play,also.
So it's not a matter of a physical act (of good works) that we are saved.It is merely by grace,through faith and the closing of this deal is to believe.
