1 Timothy 6vs11,
BUT you, O man of God,
Paul addresses Timothy,as a man of God. He has grown out of childishness that is causing the chasing after vain gains.Many don't break out of this state.They remain in their comfortable situation and stay childish and immature.Instead, flee them,because they chase after you.Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
These are the characteristics of a grown man of God.As vain gains chase after you, you pursue, fight, lay hold on a life that yearns to do the will of God
